Online quiz
Choose the tables and the number of questions. The timer is off by default. When the quiz ends, you see which facts were missed, so you know exactly what to practice next in the times tables game.
Printable timed drills
Print a 1-minute, 3-minute or 5-minute drill with an answer key on the second page. Drills work well as a weekly check-in rather than daily practice. For untimed practice, use the worksheet generator or a blank multiplication chart.
Using timed tests kindly
Timed tests measure recall speed, which only matters once a child knows the facts. If your child gets anxious with a clock, turn it off and look only at accuracy. Compare your child with their own last result, not with classmates.
Frequently asked questions
How many questions should a times tables test have?
For a quick check, 20 questions is plenty. A longer 50-question test is useful once your child knows most facts.
Should the test be timed?
Only when your child is already accurate. Start untimed, then add time when they are getting most answers right.
Is my child's score saved?
Only on your device, in the browser. Nothing is sent to us.
